BORDERS OF INDIAN FOLK ART




Today, while  I was just browsing images of various Indian folk art paintings ,one thing pop up in my mind that as a viewer we always focus on the main subject of a folk art.But other than the main subject ,painting also has another part i.e. it’s border.
Border of an Indian Folk art painting is also as beautiful as the subject of painting.Moreover, it gives a complete look to it.Diversity also flows in the patterns of border of all folk paintings .
Here I have done a rough sketch in order  to show the difference between all Indian Folk art,through its  borders.

Hi friends  .I have come up again with another version of fish art. This painting is another result of my love  towards madhubani painting & gond art.The patterns in border & background is based upon madhubani art.While the dancing fishes are designed as per gond art. I have been doing painting since childhood.But I started applying these folk art patterns  into my paintings very recently & which gave a new look to my art.These folk paintings are amazing .They don’t follow the grammar of fine art because folk artists are not trained in fine art.They follow their own style & create incredible paintings .They develop their style from their day to day life .
